End-User License Agreement

Introduction and Acceptance

This Agreement ("Agreement") governs the license of the SAI Statistics desktop application (the "App") developed by SAI Bilişim A.Ş. ("SAI", "we") and the use of the SAI account and AI service offered with it. The App is open-source software licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License version 3 ("AGPL-3.0"); the text of that license is shown during installation. The provisions on the account and the service are accepted when you create a SAI account.

License Grant

You may use, study, modify and distribute the App for any purpose under the terms of the AGPL-3.0. The App's core functionality — data import, variable editing, and statistical analyses — is free of charge and does not require an account. Nothing in this Agreement restricts the rights the AGPL-3.0 grants you; in case of conflict, the AGPL-3.0 prevails as far as the App is concerned.

Intellectual Property

The App's source code is publicly available at github.com/saibilisim/sai-statistics; the copyright belongs to SAI Bilişim A.Ş.. The name "SAI Statistics" and its logo are trademarks of SAI Bilişim A.Ş., and the AGPL-3.0 grants no rights to them: if you distribute a modified version of the App, you must offer it under a different name and logo (see TRADEMARK.md in the repository). Services running on SAI's servers (account, payment, and AI infrastructure) are not covered by this open-source license.

Open-Source Components

The App includes several open-source components, including the R (r-project.org) statistical engine. These components are distributed under their own licenses (e.g. GNU GPL, MIT), and this Agreement does not restrict your rights under those licenses. The license texts are distributed with the App (e.g. the COPYING file in the installation folder for R).

Source code for GPL-licensed components is available from the respective projects (e.g. cran.r-project.org) and, for at least three years from distribution, will also be provided upon request to [email protected] for no more than the cost of shipping.

Optional Paid Features and Credits

The AI-powered features within the App are optional. To use them, you may create a "SAI account" and purchase credits via our authorised reseller Lemon Squeezy; your card details never reach us. Purchased credits are tied to your account, are non-transferable and do not expire; refund terms are described in our Refund Policy (saistatistics.com/refund-policy).

Deleting your account forfeits any unused credits. If we permanently discontinue the service for a reason other than your breach of this Agreement (e.g. discontinuing the AI service), your unused purchased credits will be refunded in proportion to the price you paid.

AI Output

Interpretations, suggestions and text produced by the AI assistant are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading. They are not a substitute for professional statistical advice. It is your responsibility to verify AI output against the result tables produced by the App before relying on it. Your AI requests are routed, depending on the model you choose, via OpenRouter (openrouter.ai) to the relevant provider (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek); those providers' own terms of use also apply.

Account and Authentication

If you create a SAI account, your email address and a secure hash of your password are stored; your password is never stored as plain text. You are responsible for the security of your account and session.

Disclaimer of Warranty

The App is provided "AS IS." SAI makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding uninterrupted or error-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or the accuracy of the results it produces. The App provides statistical computations for academic/research purposes; final responsibility for interpreting and using the results rests with the user.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the App. SAI's total liability, if any, is limited to the amount of credits you purchased in the preceding 12 months.

These limitations do not apply to damages caused by SAI's intent or gross negligence or to liability for injury to life, body or health, and do not limit any mandatory rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.

Data and Privacy

For details on how your data is handled, see our Privacy Policy (saistatistics.com/privacy). In short: your analysis data is processed only on your device and is not sent to our servers.

Termination

You may terminate this Agreement at any time by uninstalling the App; you can also delete your SAI account from within the App. Termination of the license to the App is governed by Section 8 of the AGPL-3.0. If you violate these terms, SAI may suspend your SAI account and your access to the AI service.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey; disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts and enforcement offices of the place where SAI Bilişim A.Ş. is registered. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence or of your right to bring proceedings before the courts or consumer dispute bodies there.

Changes to this Agreement

This Agreement may be updated; you will be notified on this page of any material changes.
